This itinerary is designed for wildlife lovers and birdwatchers. The distance between Agra and Chambal is around 70 km. it takes around one hour thirty minutes to reach there by car. At 7:00 AM, you will start your journey to Chambal Wildlife Sanctuary. You will be picked from your hotel wherever you are staying in Agra. At 8:30 AM, you will arrive at mela kothi, and there you will be welcome. Later on, around thirty minutes, light refreshments (snacks) will be served. Chambal Wildlife Sanctuary is going to be one of the most emerging tourists’ destinations in India, which sprawls around 635 sq km in three states like Utter Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. This river is surrounded by mud cliffs on both sides, mud cliffs area is around 400 km long and 1 to 5 km wide.  This area is filled with 242 species of resident and migratory birds, eight species of turtles, gharial, marsh crocodiles, and Gangetic dolphins.  The place where your vehicle will be parked from there you can go on the back of the horse to the boat.

Now, you are at the Chambal river, be ready to get in the speed motorboat along with an experienced naturalist to discover the flora and fauna of the Chambal sanctuary. You will travel by boat for around six Km downstream in the river to see alligators. In this forest, you will not only find crocodiles but also many others like Gangetic dolphin, Marsh crocodile, eight species of turtle, jungle cat, Indian striped hyena, smooth-coated otter, golden jackal, foxes, Indian wolf, and list goes on.

Chambal Wildlife Sanctuary is the abode of like 311 species. This place is known as a paradise for birds like migratory or resident including several sorts of large numbers skimmer, small pratincole, lapwings, and greater thick-knee and many more. Around one pm, you will be off the boat and move to visit the fort on camelback if you want. After that, you will proceed to mela kothi for lunch.

Optional: After lunch, there are a few more options to explore like Bateshwar, a group of Hindu temples that are situated on the banks of the river the Yamuna. All of the temples are dedicated to Lord Shiva. These temples are built by the king of bhadauriya dynasty is Maharaja Badan Singh bhadauriya.  Nearby this place, there is one more place, which is very famous, is called as shouripur, and there 22 Tirthankar of Jain was born over there. At 3 PM, you will be free from this sight-seeing, and be ready to board in your vehicle to Agra for one and a half hour journey. At 4.30 PM, you will be in your hotel and take a rest, and enjoy the property.

Most of the tourists come to Agra to just see the Taj Mahal but this itinerary is great for those tourists who want to explore the nature. This will make you away from the chaos or hustle-bustle of the city life at least for the time being.
